Henry Newman Jones was born in 1918, probably in Froncysyllte, Denbighshire, son of Stephen and Elizabeth Jones. He later married Gwendoline and they were living in Froncysyllte when, in 1943, he died whilst serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
