Frank John Parkes was born in Llangollen August 27th 1912, son of Percival Claude and Lilian Parkes of Fern Mount, Llangollen.  He married Jeannie Rhiems Davies, of Vroncysylite, in 1934 and was serving with the Royal Armoured Corps when he died in 1943.
